The Square Peg reviews….Born Anxious clothing.

(AD) We were kindly gifted with some clothes to review from Born Anxious Clothing Company

*UPDATE* We are now very excited to be brand reps for this fabulous clothing company. If you purchase any clothing through my link above then I will receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. All opinions are our own.

I avidly follow Anna Kennedy OBE on social media. If you are not familiar with Anna, then she is the founder of the charity Anna Kennedy online. Both of her sons are on the autism spectrum and she devotes a huge amount of time to raising Autism awareness.

She is also an ambassador for Born Anxious clothing, and that is where I first saw the clothes.

Born Anxious clothing aim to make their clothes as comfortable as possible whilst remaining planet friendly at the same time.

We were gifted with a T shirt each for the boys, a sweatshirt for me and a tote shopping bag.

Edward’s little T shirt has the slogan ‘Label Free’ on the back. I love this because it subtly has a double meaning. ‘Label Free’ being there are no labels on the product that could irritate a child with sensory issues and ‘Label Free’ meaning that we shouldn’t label people with different conditions.

I also love the way it has the laundry symbols on the back and says 100% actual darling. Edward loved it so much he wanted to sleep in it.

Edward’s older brother Matthew is neurotypical and doens’t have sensory issues but he still likes to wear clothes that are soft. The slogan on the back of Matthew’s T shirt is Believe in Yourself which again is a slogan that I love. We live in a day and age where young people struggle with self esteem so wearing a slogan like that is empowering.

My sweatshirt is on of those lovely big comfy sweatshirts that you need to wear when you’re having ‘one of those’ days. It will make you feel lovely and cosy. There is also a reminder that as a special needs Mum you are most certainly in The Strong Mums Club and that makes me feel good.

Then finally my tote shopping bag. The best slogan ever….‘Be a nice human. The end‘ That’s all anyone needs to be in life, it’s that simple.

I love this clothing range, not only because they are really comfortable but because the slogans and designs are simple but effective.
