The Square Peg’s November Round Up

‘Well, that was a day/week/month/year like no other!’ This seems to be the stock phrase at the moment and November was certainly no exception!

The only person who doesn’t seem to be affected by all of this palava is Edward. He continues to be a little ball of sunshine during these dark times.

We have sped through November at 100mph but I still feel like it’s March. There’s no doubt that 2020 has all just rolled into one big mess.

At the start of November we were all refreshed after a chilled out and relaxing October half term.

Tesco trips and Mountain Biking

Edward was loving some trips to Tesco with the Teletubbies and Matthew was able to compete in a Mountain Bike race (which he won by the way, and beat all the under 12’s too, even though he’s in the under 10’s).

School fun

Edward was also having fun everyday at school, from coming home covered in flour to being the poster boy (holding the Marrow) on the new school website.

Van, Dartmoor and Soup

We enjoyed some time out on the moors in the van and had hot soup and cheese sandwiches. Apart from Edward who tried to stuff a whole butter sandwich in his mouth at once!

A coastal walk in a hail storm

We had the most invigorating walk ever, along the coastal path out to Noss Mayo, when we got caught in a 15 minute hailstorm!

At least Tinky Winky was able to stay dry inside Edward’s coat.

Christmas Decorations

We put our Christmas decorations earlier than we’ve ever done before, but it’s 2020 so it’s allowed!

Mummy of a Square Peg starts running.

Mummy of a Square Peg also started Couch25k and it feels amazing. So good for my mental health. I also have another Mummy of a Square Peg to run with and it’s great to just rant for 30 minutes.

We are using the NHS app and it’s brilliant. I have chosen Micheal Johnson to be my coach and he’s fab! We can both totally recommend it, so if you were thinking of starting it, do it!

Lockdown blues.

So here we are at the end of November stuck inside the house. There’s only one thing for it, put on the Christmas loungewear, watch Christmas films and do some Christmas colouring in.
